NU Online News Service, Jan. 2, 3:53 p.m. – The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies, Fairfax, Va., has given the 2002 Douglas A. Mooers Award to Irving Howard Shaw, founder, chairman and chief executive of the Shaw American Financial Corp., Louisville, Ky.
NAILBA gives the award, which is named after its founding chairman, to recognize outstanding achievement in the independent life brokerage and insurance industry.
Shaw has been an active participant in several insurance industry associations, including The Risk Appraisal Forum, the Kentucky State Association of Life Underwriters, LIFE Inc., Brokers Health Insurance Network and the Kentucky General Agents and Managers Association, NAILBA says.
