A health insurer and a foundation affiliate are helping cash-strapped California community health centers stay in operation.
A unit of Health Net Inc., Woodland Hills, Calif. (NYSE:HNT), and the Health Net Foundation will provide up to $7 million in no-interest financing for clinics in the Central Valley Health Network, according to Health Net.
The clinics need help because California government agencies are holding off on paying clinic bills while the state puts together a budget.
