Humana Inc. is enhancing service to Spanish-speaking members of its health plans with an interactive voice response system that includes recorded Spanish instructions and information.

As with its English-based system, Spanish-speaking members will be able to request new identification cards, get a proof of insurance fax or make a health savings account withdrawal, says Humana, Louisville, Ky.

An IVR for Humana’s dental members will include Spanish later in 2008, the company says.
