Jill McGruder to Lead LIMRA and LOMA's Parent in 2020

Neil Sprackling of Swiss Re is in line to be the 2021 LL Global chair.

LL Global — the parent of LIMRA and LOMA — has named Jill McGruder to be its board chair in 2020.

McGruder is the chief marketing officer at Western & Southern Financial Group of Cincinnati. She is taking over from Brandon Carter. Carter is the president of USAA Life Insurance Company.

Neil Sprackling, president for U.S. life and health at Swiss Re American Holding Corp., will LL Global’s vice chair.

Sprackling will be on track to succeed McGruder as LL Global’s chair in 2021.

LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global

LIMRA is financial services research and education association, and LOMA is a financial services office management research and education organization.

LIMRA and LOMA merged in 2010. The groups formed LL Global, which is based in Windsor, Connecticut, to serve as an umbrella organization for both groups. The organizations have a total of 1,300 members.

LL Global reported $2.3 million in operating income for 2017 on $50 million in revenue and $59 million in assets, according to the most recent Form 990 annual report available for LL Global at FoundationCenter.org.

LL Global generated $26 million in revenue from membership dues, $14 million in revenue from enrollment fees, and $6.5 million from conferences. The organization is supporting $24 million in retirement benefit obligations.
