July 11th, 2007 (Centennial, Colo.) – Senior Market Advisor and Unkefer & Associates, Inc. have teamed up to create a Senior Charity Ride scheduled to take place August 22-24, 2007 at Senior Market Advisor Expo held at Wynn Las Vegas. The goal is to contribute $10,000 to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
Andy Cope, an Unkefer & Associates, Inc. employee and an official Ironman triathlete, will be riding his cycle during the exhibit hall hours at Senior Market Advisor Expo to exemplify Unkefer & Associates’ “We Don’t Quit” attitude. AVIVA USA will be sponsoring Mr. Cope who estimates he will ride hundreds of miles during the event.
“Andy Cope is a great example of what it takes to succeed,” stated Andrew Unkefer, President & CEO of Unkefer & Associates, Inc. “To be an Ironman, you have to be dedicated, disciplined and you must be intensely persistent. That is exactly how we serve our agents and agencies. We don’t quit when it comes to helping them be more successful. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community on behalf of the agents and agencies we work so hard for.”
AVIVA USA President of Annuity Sales and Distribution Mark Heitz was also excited when he heard about the opportunity to make a difference. “AVIVA has a true commitment to being a positive, forward thinking, influence on our industry and the communities we serve. Participating in Senior Market Advisor Expo and sponsoring a $10,000 gift to a worthy charity is an outstanding way to show that commitment. We have worked closely with Unkefer & Associates since 1995 and know that they share our passion for integrity and service. Together, we hope that this gift inspires others to also give and improve the lives of others.”
“I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. We will use this grant to provide respite care for family caregivers. Respite care can make a big difference in the health and welfare of family caregivers as they try to cope with the everyday impact of the disease on their loved ones,” said Eric J. Hall, chief executive officer of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, a national organization that focuses on providing optimal care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses, and their families.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to give back to the senior community,” said Jen La Flam, publisher of Senior Market Advisor. “The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America is an outstanding organization that will truly benefit from the donation.”
