Repairing vintage and other valuable automobiles requires servicing by specialty restoration shops. Finding reputable providers can be elusive, however. Just typing the words “vintage automobile repair restoration” on Google introduces 1,930,000 options.

Fortunately, there are Web sites and Internet bulletin boards and forums like automedia.com, classiccar.com, classic-car-directory.com and oldclassiccar.com that provide guidance. Ditto similar resources offered by car clubs like the Vintage Sports Car Club of America and the Antique Automobile Club of America. Virtually every make of automobile has its own club, from Falcons to Ferrari. Another way to narrow the hunt and acquire first-rate resources and references is to partner with an insurance company specializing in the insurance of collectible automobiles.
