Broussard to Chair AHIP

Matt Eyles will continue to be the health insurance group's president.

The board of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) has picked Bruce Broussard to be its chair for 2021. Matt Eyles will continue to be AHIP’s president.

Broussard has been the president of Humana since 2011 and CEO of the Louisville, Kentucky-based insurer since 2013.

Previously he spent 11 years at US Oncology; he left as chairman and CEO.

He has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in business from the University of Houston.

He contributed $5,600 to the McConnell Senate Committee in May, according to the Federal Election Commission.

Broussard reported $2.1 million in income for 2018 on $62 million in revenue and $37 million in assets, according to its most recent Form 990 annual report available in the Internal Revenue Service Tax-Exempt Organization filing database.
