The Phoenix is an insurer based in Givatayim, in Israel.

Air Doctor is a company that helps travelers find and schedule appointments with doctors. The company has provider networks in European countries, the United States, Canada, and many countries in Asia, such as China, Japan, Nepal and Singapore.

Travelers who buy travel insurance from the Phoenix now can get care from the providers in the Air Doctor network without paying cash up for the health care services.

Air Doctor says it tries to keep the cost of the average non-urgent visit below $100.

About 95% of Phoenix travel insurance customers who have needed medical care while traveling have used the Air Doctor provider network, according to Air Doctor.
