Dennis Martin, FSA, FCIA, MAAA, discusses why there’s no “one size fits all” long-term care insurance policy.

Dennis is a graduate, with honors, of the University of Manitoba, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science. He obtained his Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 1996, and became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 2004.

Dennis joined OneAmerica in 2009 as Vice-President of Financial Operations. In that role, he oversaw the product development & financial management functions for the Individual Division of OneAmerica. In November of 2014, Dennis assumed a new role as Vice-President, Senior Business & Product Development Officer. He is responsible for providing leadership and vision for the current and future product portfolio, including identifying and developing strategies to increase penetration of products to current distribution and identifying opportunities for expansion.

Dennis has 23 years’ experience in the life insurance industry. He began his career in Canada at Great-West Life, where he gained experience in valuation, pricing and marketing of individual life insurance. Prior to joining OneAmerica, Dennis also spent 8 years with the Western & Southern Financial Group where he led the product development process across all companies and also had responsibility for product management for Columbus Life. In addition to his actuarial and product knowledge, Dennis has gained significant experience and knowledge working directly with sales and distribution across multiple distribution channels.
