New Hire Roundup: Barclays Taps Bhargava to Head Wealth, Investment Management

This week in personnel announcements and new hires, Tracey Brophy Warson was named head of Citi Private Bank in North America and Montage Investments hired Michael McKeigue.

Also, Akshaya Bhargava joined Barclays.

Barclays Taps Bhargava

Barclays has announced that Akshaya Bhargava will join as chief executive of wealth and investment management. He replaces Peter Horrell, who stepped down from the role in June and is expected to leave the bank at the end of the year.

Bhargava founded and is the chief executive of InfraHedge, a provider of information technology services to institutional investors in hedge funds.

Warson to Head Citi Private Bank in North America

Citi Private Bank announced that Tracey Brophy Warson has been named head of Citi Private Bank in North America. She succeeds Peter Charrington, who was recently named global head of Citi Private Bank. Based in New York, she will report to Charrington and be a member of the private bank global leadership team.

With nearly 30 years of experience, Warson most recently was western region market manager for Citi Private Bank in North America. Prior to that, she was west division executive for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Earlier, she was executive vice president and regional managing director of private client services at Wells Fargo Private Bank. Before that, she served as an EVP and head of sales and distribution for Wells Fargo’s foreign exchange and financial risk management businesses nationally. She worked in the investment banking division of Citi in Los Angeles and started her career in banking as an international banking officer at Toyo Trust & Banking Company in Los Angeles.

McKeigue Joins Montage Investments

Montage Investments has announced that Michael McKeigue has joined as managing director of the national accounts team.

Prior to joining, McKeigue was a vice president and divisional manager at State Street Global Advisors. Earlier he was a wealth management specialist at Merrill Lynch. His past experience also includes Mellon Institutional Asset Management and Dreyfus.
