Henry Beceiro joined Alliant Insurance Services’s Employee Benefits Group as vice president. Beceiro will employ his expertise in servicing large employer groups to grow Alliant’s business within the San Diego region. Beceiro brings more than 25 years of experience in employee benefits on both the brokerage and carrier sides of the business. He previously served as a client executive with a global insurance brokerage firm. He has extensive experience servicing large employer groups across a breadth of industries, including public entity, construction, not-for-profit and manufacturing.
Beceiro holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach and the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation sponsored by the Wharton School of Business. He is a member of the International Federation of Employee Benefit Plans and serves on the board of directors for the Compensation and Benefits Association of San Diego.
He will be based in the San Diego office.

Anthony (Tony) Garcia has been appointed as Foresters new president and chief executive officer, effective May 1. Garcia succeeds current president and chief executive officer George Mohacsi, who will retire from the organization on June 30, 2014.
Garcia brings more than 26 years of executive management and leadership experience in the U.S. life and annuity industry, and most recently served as president of Western and Southern Agency Group. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of TIAA-CREF Life Insurance Company. Other financial services industry experience includes positions with Allstate, HSBC and the HealthMarkets life and health subsidiaries.
Garcia currently serves on the board of trustees for the American College and board of trustees for the Center of Ethics for the American College. Formerly, he served on the board of directors for the American Council of Life Insurers.
Rich Williams has been named senior vice president, Growth Markets at Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company. His responsibilities include leading the company’s brokerage, direct, large account and public sector marketing programs and services.
Williams joined Colonial Life in 1999 as an actuarial assistant leading product development and pricing. He also has held positions in the finance, operations, national accounts and broker marketing areas. He previously served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Strategic Resource Company, an Aetna subsidiary, and managed a retirement consulting actuarial practice for Mercer.
Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College, a master’s degree from Wake Forest University and a doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Williams also serves on the board of Healthy Learners, a local nonprofit organization.
