Maryland reporting exchange site improvements

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland Health Connection website is starting to work better, an official said Thursday.

Technicians found and fixed the main cause of a bottleneck that had hampered user efforts to create accounts online, Becca Pearce, the executive director of the state-based exchange said.

Within a few hours after the technicians made the changes, about 1,000 users created exchange accounts, Pearce said.

In spite of the improvements, visitors to the website continue to run into delays. On Thursday the website still displayed a message warning users to expect wait-times.
