An arm at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is getting ready to conduct a long-term care (LTC) planning awareness survey.
The HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) wants to ask 15,000 consumers ages 40 to 70 about long-term care insurance (LTCI) preferences.
The ASPE team would also ask consumers how they plan for the possibility of needing LTC services, and for retirement expenses in general.
The team would conduct the survey by having GfK Custom Research LLC poll consumers who are part of an ongoing Internet panel, HHS says in a Federal Register paperwork review notice.
