Managers of a health insurance sales and quote site say their users seem to be thinking more about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Some survey sponsors have found signs of PPACA apathy and confusion among consumers — even among uninsured consumers with health problems.

But GoHealthInsurance.com has noticed PPACA having a big, obvious effect on site search engine use, according to company managers.

For competitive reasons, the company declined to provide actual search numbers.

But the total number of searches using the keyword “reform” has jumped more than 100 percent in the past year, managers said.

The number of searches involving references to pre-existing conditions climbed 150 percent over that same period.

About 60 percent of the site’s reform-related traffic has something to do with the new subsidies.
