World’s first lab-grown burger is eaten in London

We all know that these days our meat is making more and more stops from the ranch to our plates, but recent developments could leave us munching on burgers that come right out of the lab. Scientists at an institute in the Netherlands have taken cells from a cow and turned them into strips of muscle which they then used to make a patty. The hope is that lab-grown meat may protect us against anticipated meat shortages in the future.
