An employer group says most large and midsize employers have a serious interest in making any reasonable accommodations needed to help workers who have disabilities take new jobs or return to existing jobs.
The Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) has published figures supporting that position in a summary of results from an informal poll of about 240 large and midsize employers with an interest in managing disability.
The participating employers said they approve about 95 percent of workers’ accommodation requests, DMEC said.
