Urologists recommend less PSA testing for prostate cancer

The American Urological Association has released new guidelines stipulating that men should not be tested for prostate cancer by the prostate-specific antigen test because of false positives and the identification of cancers that do not require treatment. There will now be a narrower window for who is tested and at what age. The issue is part of an overall concern of over-testing although some men and doctors may be hesitant to follow the advice.
