Colorado and Washington try to figure out how to tax marijuana

By legalizing marijuana for recreational use six months ago, the states of Washington and Colorado stand to see millions of dollars in tax revenue that would be used to build school, among other things. Estimates on exact figure range widely, but a Colorado think tank discovered recently that the costs of enforcing the new laws are so high that legalizing marijuana wouldn’t even pay for itself.
