As politicians in the U.S. debate domestic gun control policy, the UN General Assembly is set to vote on a proposed treaty put forth by Kenya to regulate the $70 billion global trade in conventional arms. The vote looks set to pass with only Syria, Iran and North Korea blocking the accord although India and Russia, major players in the arms trade, have been evasive as to how they will vote.
