People will drive across town to shave a few cents off of how much they pay per gallon of gasoline, but no such penny-pinching exists when it comes to their health care. According to a recent study, health care patients seemed to choose more expensive options at every turn, almost as if to spite their health care providers. The depressing results indicated a deeply held antagonism between most health care patients toward their health care providers. Perhaps making sure they picked the most expensive treatments possible was a way to get a little revenge.
