The Missouri Section for Long-term Care Regulation (SLCR) is conducting its fifth annual emergency preparedness survey.
The SLCR lets nursing homes and assisted living facilities participate on a voluntary, confidential basis. The agency received 512 responses last year.
The agency asks the facility managers who fill out the survey whether they've reviewed the facility emergency plan in the last 12 months.
The agency also asks whether a long list of entities has reviewed the facility's emergency plan. The list includes the facility's phone company, electric company and gas company as well as the local emergency management office and the Red Cross.
