Genworth Wealth Management Adds Casares
Genworth Financial Wealth Management (GFWM), a subsidiary of Genworth Financial, announced Tuesday that Rico Casares has joined its practice management consulting team.
Casares has worked with broker-dealers for nearly 20 years. In his new position, he will be responsible for the southeast and report to Matt Matrisian, director of practice management.
Stratos Wealth Partners Welcomes Three
Stratos Wealth Partners announced Tuesday the addition of three former Morgan Stanley Smith Barney advisors to their two newly created offices in Logan and Ogden, Utah. The new independent firms, Stratos Wealth Partners and Adams Wealth Advisors, together combine to represent more than $350 million in AUM.
The three advisors, Craig P. Adams, Steve Beierlein and S. Craig Adams, represent more than 100 years of combined industry experience.
BlackRock Appoints CIO to New Global Real Estate Securities Team
BlackRock announced Tuesday the appointment of Sherry Rexroad as CIO for the firm’s new global real estate securities platform, effective immediately. She will report to Mark Howard-Johnson, global head of BlackRock’s real estate securities group.
Rexroad has more than 20 years of experience in real estate securities. Prior to joining BlackRock, she managed global, U.S. and long/short hedge fund mandates. Most recently, she served as senior portfolio manager, REITs-Americas, for Aviva Investors’ global listed real estate securities team. Previously, she was a managing director and portfolio manager with ING Clarion Real Estate Securities. Prior to ING, she worked for AEW Capital Management, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the General Services Administration.
The Hedge Fund Association Adds Steinberg, Expands in China
The Hedge Fund Association (HFA) announced Monday that Adam Steinberg, a financial communications consultant in Beijing, has been tapped to serve as the new director of the HFA’s China chapter.
