The Supreme Court’s expected decision on the partially implemented Affordable Care Act is just around the corner. No matter which way the Court decides, managing health care insurance as a business owner is already complicated. Johnson Security Bureau recently jumped from 40 to 80 employees. Further, Johnson considers anything over 32 hours a week to be full time, but some insurers use lower number to get more people in the pool. Alexandra Mayzler, owner of Thinking Cap Tutoring, has a constantly shifting number of employees, yet any insurance plan she chose would be based on number of employees and the percentage that opt in.
