The National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) is welcome the failure of the congressional Super Committee to come up with $1.2 trillion in budget cut proposals.
The NAHC, Washington, represents 33,000 home care and hospice organizations that provide services for a total of about 12 million U.S. patients, including 3 million Medicare plan enrollees who receive home health care services.
The failure of the Super Committee — the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction – has become a symbol of congressional gridlock and could possibly lead to an automatic federal budget reduction process called sequestration.
