Christopher Booth has become president of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
Excellus, Rochester, N.Y., a unit of the Lifetime Healthcare Companies, provides or administers health coverage for about 1.8 million people in update New York.
Booth has been chief operating officer of Excellus since January 2010, and he will keep that title, Lifetime says.
David Klein will continue to be the chief executive officer of Excellus.
Booth has been working at Excellus since 2004. Before that, he was a lawyer one of the company’s main law firms.
