To help registered investment advisors move their data systems into the world of cloud computing, enterprise content management firm Laserfiche announced Monday a prepackaged integration with Salesforce.com designed for RIAs.

The integration of Laserfiche’s enterprise content management (ECM) systems with advisors’ customer relationship management (CRM) systems can help RIAs improve client service and office efficiency while more easily adhering to compliance rules, according to a Laserfiche news release.

“As the leading ECM provider in the RIA space, Laserfiche is 100% committed to supporting the CRM systems our customers rely on,” said Tom Wayman, vice president of Product Strategy at Laserfiche, in a statement. “Laserfiche’s open architecture allows advisors to instantly access critical client documentation from within their CRM applications, saving time and effort.”

Available as both a Web-based and a desktop solution, the Laserfiche ECM includes:

  • Document imaging capabilities that enable advisory firms to go paperless
  • Records management automation that lowers the cost of compliance
  • DoD 5015.2-certified security features that protect confidential client information
  • Auditing and reporting capabilities
  • Workflow functionality with a user-friendly, Windows-like interface

“Advisory firms across the country have reaped the benefits of integrating Laserfiche with traditional CRM systems, and providing an easy-to-implement integration with Salesforce’s cloud-based CRM solution was the logical next step in meeting our clients’ needs,” Wayman said.

Based in Long Beach, Calif., Laserfiche recently published an educational guide considering how ECM software can help financial advisors adapt to the sweeping regulatory changes outlined in the Dodd-Frank Act. Salesforce.com, an enterprise cloud computing firm that manages customer information for 87,200 customers including Allianz Commercial, Dell and SunTrust Banks, has headquarters in San Francisco, with offices in Europe and Asia.
