ING Groep N.V. has hired Bruce Wallace to be senior vice president and head of strategic distribution for the U.S. life insurance business.

Wallace, who will be based in Minneapolis, previously was a managing general agent responsible for Eastern U.S. sales at Nationwide Financial Network, an arm of an affiliate of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, according to ING U.S., Minneapolis.

Wallace has a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.

Phan previously was a shareholder at Felhaber Larson Fenlon & Vogt, Minneapolis, a law firm.

Phan has a bachelor’s degree from Hamline University and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, has hired Eric Jones to be the regional vice president for Florida.
