SilverSneakers, an exercise program for Medicare-eligible seniors and group retirees, has developed a new member website to help seniors stay on track with their fitness goals. The program, which is administered by Healthways, aims to improve senior health by offering fitness classes and other support.

A SilverSneakers membership provides access to fitness centers around the country, customized SilverSneakers classes, health seminars, a specially trained Senior AdvisorSM to welcome you to your nearest fitness center and SilverSneakers Step, designed for members without easy access to a fitness center.

In addition to fitness classes, which are designed to increase muscle strength, flexibility, balance and agility and run from 45 to 60 minutes, members of the program can access the new website, which offers support to lose weight, quit smoking and reduce stress. A customized wellbeing plan is offered along with nutrition trackers, health-related articles, recipes, exercise demonstration videos, expert advice on exercise, nutrition and life skills and personalized health reports.
