UnitedHealthcare has announced it will offer two free Medicare education seminars to help Spanish-speaking seniors in Santa Barbara, Calif. The seminars will educate attendees on the ins and outs of Medicare. UnitedHealthcare hopes to reach some of the 60,000 Spanish-speaking seniors in Santa Barbara County who are currently eligible for Medicare.

“Seniors will receive health care information in a simple, clear manner, and they can also actively participate in the seminar so they feel confident in their health care decisions,” said Susan Morisato, the president of Ovations Insurance Solutions, which administers UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Supplement plan.

The seminars will offer information on how Medicare is administered, who is eligible for the program and the differences among Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. After the seminars, participants may take part in a free Zumba(R) Gold fitness class, which combines the Latin rhythms of salsa, merengue, rumba and tango to promote fitness.
