An insurer has introduced a single program that will manage absences related to workers’ compensation claims along with absences related to short-term illness, disability, and leave programs.

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford (NYSE:HIG), says the new Hartford Productivity Advantage integrated absence management program will be offered in a modular fashion.

Employers can choose whether and how to include workers’ comp, disability insurance and leave programs, such as Family and Medical Leave Act programs.

Reports can give employers a consolidated view of employee absences, and Hartford also is offering access to a customized absence analysis service that can show an employer how absenteeism affects the employer’s productivity.
