Oracle Corp. has released Oracle Insurance Policy Administration 9.0, a new version of a product designed for life and annuity issuers.

Oracle, Redwood Shores, Calif., says the new version includes support for multiple languages and currencies, increasing insurers’ ability to use a single system in many different countries at the same time.

The system also offers more support for handling multi-country, investment fund-backed products, including tools that can help insurers apply regional valuation methods, Oracle says.

In other insurance technology news, Connecture Inc., Atlanta, says will build more Medicare features into InsureConnect EZ Release 4.0, a version of its health insurance sales system that is set to come out later this year.

The update will include Medicare Advantage health plan shopping and enrollment request tools; Medicare plan prescription drug cost comparison tools; instant eligibility checks; pre-enrollment marketing rule compliance; and features that will help carriers meet federal Medicare Advantage plan accessibility standards.
