A third party benefits administrator has signed an agreement with a global healthcare company to provide health care to members of its high-deductible medical plans who travel overseas for medical procedures.

Satori World Medical, San Diego, Calif., announced the agreement with P5 Health Plan Solutions, Salt Lake City, Utah, to offer its global health care network to all P5 clients and employees who travel abroad to obtain specialized medical services under self-funded, high-deductible plans.

Through its international network of doctors and hospitals, Satori says it can reduce the costs of selected surgical procedures dramatically from similar procedures in the U.S.

Satori also claims it can reduce a patient's healthcare expense for overseas treatments by 44% to 84%, including the cost of all travel and accommodations for the patient and a companion.

Beneficiaries selecting the Satori Global Network for their medical procedure will receive dollars deposited into an employer-funded, tax-advantaged health reimbursement account that can be used to fund medical expenses, the company says.
