A Texas insurance broker has scooped up a benefits broker in its home state.
Apex Global Partners Inc., Dallas, has acquired Global Benefit Solutions Inc., Austin, Texas.
The companies are not announcing the price of the deal, but Apex says Tom Newby, president of Global Benefit, will become president of a new Global Benefit division at Apex.
Apex has been selling employee benefits and human resources consulting services as well domestic and international insurance brokerage services.
Global Benefit sells health and welfare insurance brokerage and consulting services along with retirement planning services, executive compensation services, and human resources consulting services.
