A Midwestern health insurer is buying a communications firm.

Trustmark Mutual Holding Company, Lake Forest, Ill., has acquired Health Contact Partners Inc., Wheeling, Ill., a 7-year-old company that operates Web contact and telephone call centers for the health care industry, Trustmark says.

Health Contact Partners does business with plans with about 2 million members.

Services include telephone call center services, Web-based live chat services, a nurse line, health and member advocacy services, customer service, and disease management enrollment services, Trustmark says.

Health Contact Partners also operates a consumer health Web site, at Document Link

Deb Leon, president of Health Contact Partners, will continue to be the president of the business, and she will run it as stand-alone subsidiary, Trustmark says.

The acquisition should not affect the firm’s call center operations or clients, Trustmark says.
