Hartford Backs Employer Disability Group

The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. announced that it will become the sole “Diamond” sponsor of the Disability Management Employer Coalition.

The move marks a step up in the Hartford’s support for the DMEC, San Diego, after 4 years as a “platinum” sponsor of the nonprofit, which supports development of absence and disability management programs for employers.

As a Diamond sponsor, the insurer says it will play a principal role in major DMEC programs, research and conferences, including its behavioral risk management conference in April and its annual conference in August.
