A majority of participants in the voluntary insurance market are reporting solid sales.

About 29% say 2007 voluntary insurance product sales were about as strong as expected, and 31% say 2007 sales were stronger than expected, according to Eastbridge Consulting Group Inc., Avon, Conn.

About 41% are expecting worksite and voluntary persistency and retention to improve over the next 12 months, up from 36% who were predicting that persistency and retention would improve back in December 2006, Eastbridge says.
