Gallagher Scoops Up New York Benefits Boutique

Arthur J. Gallagher and Company has acquired C&B Consulting Group Inc.

Gallagher, Itasca, Ill., a large insurance broker, and C&B, Syosset, N.Y., a benefits broker, are not saying how much Gallagher is paying for C&B.

C&B was founded in 1992 and now offers financial services consulting, legislative compliance advice, and employee communications support as well as group insurance plans.

Gallagher will be keeping the C&B office in Syosset as well as James Buonfiglio, Peter Chase and other C&B employees and managers, Gallagher says.
