Michigan Blue Gets Kids Moving

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan is awarding $133,000 in grants to help 14 Michigan schools make playgrounds, walking paths and indoor exercise equipment available to the state’s children.

The schools receiving the grants are educating a total of 8,200 children, according to Michigan Blue, Detroit.

The company has donated a total of $630,000 to Michigan school exercise and nutrition programs since 2004.
