Health insurers, life insurers and long term care insurers continue to expand health improvement programs.

Aetna Inc., Hartford, says it will start an Aetna Healthy Lifestyle Coaching program in April 2008.

The telephone-based program will offer one-on-one coaching for group plan members who need to lose weight, quit smoking, cope with stress or exercise more.

The program will include “targeted incentives and rewards for completing certain activities or achieving specific results,” Aetna says.
