Thomas Vander Wal has succeeded Lawrence Lounds as president of the Association of Health Insurance Advisors.
AHIA, Falls Church, Va., is the health and employee benefits arm of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Vander Wal, who has been a AHIA member for 25 years, owns a Stockton, Calif., health care and benefits delivery consulting firm.
Other 2007-2008 AHIA officers include Robelynn Abadie, president-elect; Lounds, immediate past president; Sam Cunningham, treasurer; and William Foudy, secretary.
Abadie owns Abadie Financial Services, Baton Rouge, La. She is a member of the board at the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation, Park Ridge, Ill.
