UnitedHealth Adds Claim Estimator Tool

A managed care company is trying to give doctors a better idea of how much it will pay them for performing medical procedures.

UnitedHealthcare, the health insurance arm of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., says doctors now can get reimbursement estimates by entering patient information, diagnosis codes and procedure codes into a Web-based Claim Estimator tool.
