UnitedHealth Unit Rolls Out Individual Products

Golden Rule Insurance Company has updated its health insurance offerings for individuals and families.

The products already are available in 19 states, including Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, according to Golden Rule, Indianapolis, a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn.

The products should be available in Florida July 1, Golden Rule says.

The new products come with more high-deductible options, an increased lifetime maximum coverage option and a new supplemental accident option, Golden Rule says.

Golden Rule reports that it has eliminated waiting periods for wellness benefits on all plans.
