A Medicare managed care company is aiming a new plan at beneficiaries who have high cholesterol readings.
The Arizona arm of Health Net Inc., Woodland Hills, Calif., says the new Medicare Advantage special needs plan provides extra benefits to keep high cholesterol from leading to chronic illness.
Health Net’s goal for the new Medicare special needs plan is to boost the percentage of members following their prescribed treatment plan for high cholesterol to at least 75%, from about 40% today.
