A company that sells support services to insurers and other financial services companies is putting its books in order.

BISYS Group Inc., Roseland, N.J., says it has overcome accounting delays and filed a Form 10-Q for the second quarter of the company’s 2007 fiscal year.

The BISYS fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, 2006.

BISYS now is current in its financial filings, according to BISYS Chairman Robert Casale.

BISYS is reporting $14 million in net income for the latest quarter on $221 million in revenue, compared with $22 million in net income on $207 million for the second quarter of fiscal year 2006.

Results include professional fees and severance costs associated with efforts to check and restate the company’s financial statements, BISYS says.

Acquisitions helped insurance services revenue grow 1.1%, but “same store” life insurance services revenue was flat, BISYS says.

BISYS is continuing to conduct a previously announced strategic review of its operations, and it will host an analyst call once the process is complete, Casale says.
