Principal Revs Up NASCAR Sponsorship

A large insurer is paying to put its name on more fast cars.

Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, says it will be sponsoring a Chevrolet car co-driven by Mark Martin and Regan Smith during 2 more races during the upcoming NASCAR season.

The car, owned by Ginn Racing, Concord, N.C., will compete with Principal sponsorship at the Daytona International Speedway July 7 and at the New Hampshire International Speedway Sept. 16.

Principal also will be an associate sponsor for 3 Ginn Racing NASCAR cars all season long.

Principal started off as an associate sponsor for 1 Ginn Racing car in August 2006.
