The National Business Group on Health has published a report aimed at group health plan sponsors that want to cut insurance costs by keeping employees healthy.
The NBGH, Washington, a coalition of large employers, says "A Purchaser's Guide to Clinical Preventive Services: Moving Science into Coverage" provides detailed evidence supporting adoption of 46 common preventive services.
The services include screenings for conditions such as hypertension and depression as well as immunizations, counseling and a variety of preventive treatments.
