Renaissance Life & Health Insurance Company of America has started going after ancillary benefits business in Florida, North Carolina and New York.
Renaissance Life, Okemos, Mich., has introduced a dental plan designed for companies in Florida and North Carolina with 5 or more employees.
Renaissance will sell the plan in New York through a sister company, Renaissance Health Insurance Company of New York.
The plan is available in an indemnity version and a preferred provider organization version, and employers can choose whether to pay all, some or none of the premiums.
Renaissance also is selling a package of discounts on eyewear, hearing aids and other health-related products and services.
Renaissance is an affiliate of Delta Dental Plan of Michigan Inc., Okemos, a large Michigan dental insurer.
