Grifols Inc. is setting up a support system for individuals with a serious hereditary disease who lose access to health coverage.

Grifols, Los Angeles, a unit of Grifols S.A., Barcelona, says its new PatientCare program will provide one kind of support for patients with hemophilia who lose insurance coverage, and another type of assistance for individuals who believe their need for assistance will be temporary.

To qualify for the program, patients must meet financial eligibility requirements and document difficulty getting health coverage, Grifols says.

The program will provide access both to therapies used to treat Hemophilia A, or Factor VIII deficiency, and Hemophilia B, which is also known as Factor IX deficiency.

More information about the program is on the Web at Document Link
