A Pennsylvania insurer says its foundation will be spending $20 million per year for 5 years on programs that help children.

Highmark Inc., Pittsburgh, today launched Healthy High 5, a program that will make grants to efforts to improve children’s health.

Initial areas of interest will include nutrition, physical activity, self-esteem, grieving or bullying, Highmark says.

Highmark has set up a Web site for the program at Document Link

Highmark, a company that provides or administers health coverage for 4.6 million people, says it already has been sponsoring many child-health programs, including a childhood obesity conference that will start Saturday in Pittsburgh.
