Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company says it is streamlining underwriting and increasing coverage limits for its high-end income protection product.
MassMutual, Springfield, Mass., will be updating its Radius, MaxElect and FlexElect individual disability insurance policies by replacing blood work and urinalysis requirements for applicants age 45 and younger with requirements for a less invasive test that involves swabbing the cheek, the company says.
MassMutual also will be letting many applicants substitute height, weight and blood pressure measurements for the results of a paramedical exam, and it will waive medical requirements for some executives, engineers, accountants and lawyers.
